I'm so cold in the office today. I dress for the temperature outside but the air-con in this place is ridiculously strong. Plus there's a draft exactly where I sit as well making it worse. It would have to be under 20 degrees in here. It's nice right when you come back from outside, but not so much once you've cooled down. Need to remember to pack an office jacket for hot days.
I made breakfast, lunch and dinner (and coffees / drinks) at home while WFH today. My usual approach is not to clean up after each meal and leave it all to the end of the day. By the time I've finished making dinner and eating, my kitchen is a bomb site and takes a loooong time to clean up. It's a real drainer and crappy end to the day. Trying to save money not buying food out as much but that means the kitchen mess multiplies. Thankfully no cooking at all tomorrow, I've got enough leftovers. I need a break!
Ewwwww, this I do not miss about working in offices. My co-working has a separate unisex toilet, I use that. So do a few other people, and the ventilation is quite poor in there, so opening the door sometimes comes with a smelly surprise.
Just sent a pretty forceful sounding / legally threatening email to a client that still owes me a couple of grand. 4 months overdue invoice, all kindly worded follow up emails totally ignored. Spoke to him on the phone a few weeks back, said he'd pay by the following week but never did. Just taking the piss now, and I'm angry.
Give me my money, then they're getting blacklisted for good. There's more work to be done for this client (and I'm letting them think things will continue) but I've decided I won't be doing it. I don't want to work with people that have zero respect for what I do. I have the authority to say no, take your business with maybe payment elsewhere, and I plan to use it.
Same, but around 5 - 5:30am for me. I've been researching why I keep having interrupted sleep and I've put it down to stress. But my life has a baseline level of stress which I'm pretty much always under, so I don't know how to reduce it below that to stop this from happening.
Yep it’s so annoying, happened to me the other day on the train. Loud music and because it was so loud the person playing was screaming to talk to the person they were with.
Also people having loud phone conversations for everyone to hear.
And smelly foods being consumed in train.
I remember the bliss of Tokyo PT, no loud music, no loud talking, no phone convos, no food, the way it should be.
I left the house to go out at 10pm for late drinks with some friends, this timing for leaving the house is unheard of these days. The non-inviters I posted about a few months back have invited me out after seeing them at a birthday today, thought I better take up the offer. I got no clues about why I was being excluded, it felt like nothing had happened today and it just picked up from where we left off the last time we all hung out. So weird.
I haven’t had to use my asthma puffer in a while but something about going from hot to cold for a week, now back to hot is setting it off. Same with my hayfever.
Person walking around co-working office with no shoes on. I've got no issue if you take your shoes off under your desk, but then walking around the place with no shoes, nope. It's a workplace, not your home.
