Horizon Zero Dawn. The first time I played it I could not get into the tutorial, just felt so bland. Then years later I tried it again, pushed through the tutorial, and it's now my all time favorite video game series.
I'm already anticipating the articles about the inevitable launch-day patch and mountain of breaking bugs.
Yeah Risus lends itself well to short adventures for sure. I think Toast of the Town is a superb adventure and could fit well with any system. Hope you get to run it sometime!
I'm confused on where the criticism of Islam comes into play?
Thank you for saying this. Being anti-religion and anti-Islam are not the same thing. Context would be very helpful for OPs post because that changes the whole conversation really.
This is all everyone is going to talk about for a while huh? As if most of the active posts being about Reddit wasn't bad enough.
If we want Lemmy to succeed we have to do more than whine about this kind of thing 24/7.
Yeah I could see it being perfect for that setting!
Well technically it turned into more of a two-shot (you know how it goes).
So my regular D&D group is on a hiatus from our regular campaign since the summer has been busy for us all. Instead, we've been taking turns running one-shots when we're able to meet. Last week was my turn, and I ran a game using the Risus system. It's a niche little system I stumble across a few years back, and I found this awesome adventure written by the system creator called Toast of the Town. It's one of the most fun adventures I've ever read, and I knew we had to run it.
Well to make a long story short, they had a great time! The system lends itself well to hijinks and humor, which is perfect for my group. And when it came time for us to wrap up and the adventure wasn't concluded, everyone voted to finish it out the following week. I haven't GMed for anyone besides my family in years, so it was really encouraging that they had a good enough time that they actually wanted to continue the story.
Anyway, if you want a quick and easy system that you can run a silly one-shot with in a pinch, check out Risus!
Cries in PS5
The month-long wait for the PS5 release is going to be torture.
Damn, just straight up stealing other people’s content. Very cool

I have done this so many times and for no particular reason. It's just fun!
Looks like for now they're just going to use their own forums for updates and such. Would be cool if they landed on Lemmy eventually like the Star Trek subreddit did.
I've been using Obsidian for a year or so now, and I really want to move over some Trello boards into Obsidian. Is there a tool out there that can turn Trello lists into folders and Trello cards into .md files respectively? I've been doing it the long way of just manually creating the files and copy-pasting from Trello, but I'd love to be able to speed up the process.
EDIT: For future reference, I used this tool to get my Trello boards and convert them into Obsidian-ready .md files.
