Glad to see Canadians' actions having a tangible impact.
Some guy in the White House said the US doesn't need us or our stuff. Then fine, our money will be used to grow our own economy.
We talking about Inmate P01135809?
Depends on where what and how. "Plastics" is a broad category after all.
Here's a program report from British Columbia, Canada, with multi-stream recycling and a deposit program: PDF
Refundable deposit systems do help with getting bottles and cans properly sorted out and recycled. (Germany does it better making single use plastic bottles a higher deposit than bottles that can be reused).
Just soya know, OP edited in the archive link that you don't have to open, 20 minutes before you posted your comment. Have a nice day.
Good thing dealing with our neighbours to the south is part of the Liberals' plan this time (including as part of their gun control plan).
Bailout money, even if approved, might not get to farmers in time before they go bankrupt due to induced government inefficiency. That's icing on the shit cake that the Trump administration has baked.
This is lightspeed in justice system time... this had better lead to some actual serious hearings and consequences for non-compliance, and no room for stalling and delaying from the Trump admin.
I needed a shot of pride and enthusiasm today. Thanks for posting.
Forcibly remove first, ask questions later is going to soon end up kidnapping random people out of the country...
Conservative excuses and goalposts will adapt as we go along:
- but look, he was supposed to be deported anyway (Abrego Garcia)
- doesn't matter that he has a valid asylum case, he came here illegally so he should be kicked out (Gutiérrez)
- If you don't want to support America, you shouldn't have a green card (Mahdawi)
- he looks like he came from out of the country and he helps illegal migrants anyway, too bad he's a US citizen
- these were people spewing violent rhetoric about Trump and America, take them out of the country if they don't want to be here
- hey wait, this is a mistake!? (future kidnapped Conservative)
Ironically, your take is the same line of reasoning that I tell people not to be afraid to vote Liberal because it's better than Conservative, while still pushing for an eventual fair Proportional Representation system.
Main reason for me is that I have bought humble bundles, donated to gamejams, and gotten keys off of legit and grey-market sites in the past in conjunction with buying directly from Steam. Those aren't included in the Steam spend category.
Drill, baby, drill (holes in the ground to put the oil back in)!
I just imagine Jim Thorton announcing the prize:
... and heeere's what you could win! An All Expenses-paid one-way vacation to El Salvador! Enjoy weeks of escape from the outside world, unique full-body massages, endless fun labour activities! El Salvador: valued at five HUNDRED thousand dollars of taxpayer money!
Suggesting you a title: Me📦irl
Hammam Farah at least can see the nuance in the issue and the difference between the campaigns that is completely lost by many Palestinian supporters.
Sure, you can't count on a Carney or a Poilievre led government to materially help your cause, but your vote can help at least avoid active harm that Poilievre is pledging. Only one of those two will provide some room for activism outside of federal politics rather than oppression, like we are seeing in Trump's America. Vote NDP, Green, Bloc, Communist if you want, but don't be a single-issue voter, and make your choice well.
Clearly Trump hasn't even asked him to, despite the Supreme Court saying he and his administration must facilitate Abrego Garcia's return.
