I agree those two are bad things, but it is to me not enough reason to ban it entirely.
Yeah I thought so, would be very stupid to buy stuff with a kill switch. But Poland is for example buying stuff from South-Korea because the queue at the European counterpart is too long for them. So not asking the money 100% on European goods isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I get your sarcasm, but since I believe your comment holds a serious conviction I want to ask: have you never seen lawbooks? Clarity is good, but not at all costs.
At the time of righting the upvote/downvote ratio is 30%, with a score of -4 so I feel it would be good if I make a comment here to say that this is written by a woman from England, so she is talking about people like herself.
I'll also share the following from the article to provide extra context:
Why isnโt this quiet form of female political alienation ringing more alarm bells?
But the failure even to be curious about what it is young women are trying to say, just because their chosen revolt against the mainstream takes a less aggressive or destructive form than young Reformersโ, feels profoundly unfair. Sometimes it pays to listen to people sitting quietly at the back, not just the ones screaming in your face.
I'll refrain from expressing an opinion about the people who downvoted this article, since I don't know them.
Because of national laws about gay marriage differencing greatly and there being a lot of countries where religion plays a serious role in politics i wanted to share with you the actual legal articles, since these are quite easy to understand and the eu has these laws in all languages as well.
This is from the English version of the CHARTER OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
Article 11
Freedom of expression and information1 Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers.
Article 12
Freedom of assembly and of association1 Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and to freedom of association at all levels, in particular in political, trade union and civic matters, which implies the right of everyone to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his or her interests.
Article 21
Non-discrimination1 Any discrimination based on any ground such as sex, race, colour, ethnic or social origin, genetic features, language, religion or belief, political or any other opinion, membership of a national minority, property, birth, disability, age or sexual orientation shall be prohibited.
tl;dr No, it is not legal.
In The Netherlands too, they run big billboard ads and tv commercial like all established companies do.
There is also a big price gap, that gives people a big reason to care less about trust.
Doesn't mean the remaining 30% will be American stuff with a kill switch, if that's what you imply.
"Obviously I've been meeting Scott Bessent this week whilst I'm in Washington, but I've also this week met the French, the German, the Spanish, the Polish, the Swedish, the Finnish finance ministers - because it is so important that we rebuild those trading relationships with our nearest neighbours in Europe, and we're going to do that in a way that is good for British jobs and British consumers."
I do agree with her but I'm also calling bullshit because this is exactly what you'd say to improve your negotiation position. Note that she is already in Washington. She is trying to get a deal done. I mean good for her and I wish her and everyone in the UK all the best, but the UK tries to be the link between EU and US just like Meloni. They want best of both worlds (who doesn't).
The result of these talks will be the real news, this is just a cookie for the hungry journalists. A kind of fortune cookie that is meant as a message to the other guy at the negotiation table.
In that case the rules should be a) no wrong information and b) no low effort garbage, if you ask me.
You're right you can't, but if there is a rule you have clarity beforehand instead of arguments after.
I want to mention I'm personally not against AI generated content, and don't know why so many people seem against all forms of AI, especially when it comes to images, but i am against wrong information and low effort crap so it will just say you do you feddit.uk and good of our community to follow the instance.
I like it too and do use it, but unlike Foss alternatives they do use your data for commercial purposes, just so you know.
Well, I skipped "literally" so guess it's an easy mistake to make lol
You really are a genius, i wasn't sure before.
Every child knows a rule only counts if a) you're caught breaking them and b) you're punished for breaking them.b
Well, running for president isn't really running if the result is already fixed. So you have that going for you.
Please don't, I would buy them and finance Trump :(
Don't act surprised, as soon as you saw "floating" you knew how this was gonna go.
Officer breaks up 2 people fighting, asks "What's going on here?"
"This is my house and this man came into my garden and doesn't want to leave," one man says.
"Well, you don't understand sir, I have been living in this neighborhood all my live and everybody agrees this is a nice place to be." the other man says.
The officer thinks long and hard about the situation until he looks to the homeowner and says "Mister, you have a very nice house and he only took the garden so I think it would be fair if we could find some middle ground after all the fighting you two have been doing. I mean, wouldn't it be nice if you could do something better with all your resources? I propose you just go back inside and enjoy your nice house. You can just choose to not be upset about some man who took over your garden. I mean, I can't force you to accept my proposal but it's either that, or I leave and you two go back to fighting.
It's easy, just go inside and watch some TV.
Why are you making this so complicated?
You're not even in the garden all the time.
Imagine yourself in my position, wouldn't you too want to go home to your wife instead of dealing with someone who didn't even thank me for showing up?
If it wasn't for me you would still be fighting this man.
Just be cool okay, no need to be ungrateful about this. Think about me for a second here, jeez."
