This was a great read and shows that in even ancient societies, people understood that there was more than just a binary.

There is no federation with Threads because it isn’t federated yet.

I hate LinkedIn. It is just annoying and stressful. It’s a good place to talk to some recruiters but other than that I don’t use it.

I prefer handhelds by far. I have a family and it is easier to get everyone in the same room with handhelds than it is with the TV being monopolized.

The House and Senate can check the court with the President’s support.

• Justices can be impeached by a 2/3 majority in the Senate.
• They can have term limits introduced to stop lifetime appointments.
• They can have the court size shrank, removing some members.
• They can have the court size increased, making the individual vote count less.
• They could introduce a rule to require a supermajority in the court to declare a law unconstitutional.
• Impose new ethics rules for justices (thereby removing the corrupt justice).

So if we want to peacefully fix the court we need a Congress that can work with the President to do that.

The fact that Thomas is still a justice astounds me. It shows the complacency our country has.

Honestly, as someone that grew up in an ultra conservative Christian cult, this makes me want to join the Satanic Temple movement. We need to provide a challenge to this nonsense from a different direction using the same rules.

It’s so funny to me when Christians get upset at horned skulls, pentagrams, and such. Who the hell decided these things were anti-christian? I’m fairly certain that no creator god would be scared of horns (it’s on many mammals he supposedly created), geometric patterns, or the like. It’s so stupid and exclusionary.

I have bipolar disorder and I had taken medication for years. I stopped a couple months ago due to side effects but I know that eventually I will need them again. I am “enjoying” the break though. Good and bad emotions hit harder now but my sex drive is coming back and my emotions towards other are coming back. I was a bit emotionless on the medicine.

But like I said, I am bipolar 1. I will eventually need the meds again. It’s a medical fact that I will experience these highs and lows due to my brain structure. I have been so manic before I literally saw stars. I have been so depressed that I was ready to off myself. I used to have horrible night episodes as an adult that went away after I was medicated. They haven’t come back yet even though I am not any longer medicated.

Fortunately, I have familial support who will let me know when I need to medicate again and a strong moral sense that I never deviate from. Medicine is needed for bipolar people. Some of us can function for a time without it but it really is just a matter of time before we need it again. It’s up to the severity of the current cycle.

I see this becoming more of an advanced “auto-complete”. It really shouldn’t be authoring anything, but instead work with software to make suggestions on how to improve human generated work.

Also, for software development it is a minefield. They train the AIs on code from GitHub and other projects and then suggest it back to users in violation of the license the code was built with.

Good for her. I feel bad though that her mom did that to her. It’s hard enough without such a name.
