How Jill Stein could derail Democrats again
  • “It’s directly Jill Steins fault. See look at how many votes ALL 3RD PARTY CANDIDATES COMBINED got!!! No please don’t talk about how the left combined took up a whopping 15% of the 3rd party vote. That libertarian party is like 85% of the 3rd party vote. Or that 40% of people able to vote simply don’t. Nope. Blame 0.31% of voters please and thank you.”

  • EVs are cleaner than gas cars, but a growing share of Americans don't believe it
  • Its not a "you can" problem. Its a "we don't" problem. I cannot get to work on time (7am) using the only public transport we have (bus) in a county with a million people. Also would take about 1.5hrs longer than by car. to be 15m late (assuming the bus is on time) every day. puts it around 4 hours travel to/from work, so work takes up ~12 hours of your day.

  • ‘Morally indefensible’ – but George W Bush will not come out against Trump
  • Being popular does not make you a good president.

Of course he won the vote… otherwise he wouldn’t be president. It’s what he did when he was there that mattered. And boy. Did he fuck everything up good. Still is fucked up. Hell. He is probably the reason trump exists basically.

  • An incredible shift in the weather has turned the Sahara green
  • It is a wet year, so things are going to be more green than last, but the great green wall is a lot more than simply trees. It’s a ton of agricultural tricks to help retain the little rainfall they do get. So in a year where they get a ton, it will get a lot more green as the water is actually being retained. Iirc they dig a ton of multi levelled crescent shapes to retain the water and plant various levels of crops to use said water. Honestly a lot of it is just breaking up the dry ass ground over there and keeping water in it so plants can start growing. Once it does though, there’s better ground that on a good rainy season will grow plenty more greenery.

But yeah, it’s not JUST the wall. It’s also a very wet year, but the odd two combined make it a lot more green because usually in a rainy season that dry ass ground is so hard most things won’t grow anyways. But after years of cultivation, things can grow there.

  • Secret calculator hack brings ChatGPT to the TI-84, enabling easy cheating
  • Ah, interesting. That’s quite a bit of work more than expected then lol. Link things at the top assumed it’d plug into that. Seems like a whole lot of work where if you’re into fixing shit and soldering and all that you probably don’t hate math much and thus… learning algebra 2 for a damn SAT wouldn’t be that hard?

I suppose maybe the GRE or whatever? Idk what all that entails and if they allow these.

  • Secret calculator hack brings ChatGPT to the TI-84, enabling easy cheating
  • Ah yup should’ve read the article lol. That’s a whole lot of work and effort into cheating, which probably won’t work? Needs a whole thing to it sounds like plug into the link port? Which would stick out… so like… idk MAYBE they are stupid and don’t notice but like… I wouldn’t bet my life on that.

  • Your electric car will fall apart before its battery pack does, study finds
  • “Actually the battery will probably lose the exact amount every year, and nothing will ever go wrong with any parts of it, and also they’ll also break the rest of the car at the same rate as a gas car, which is 20 years, which we’re going to call 15 years. Which means in 12 years the car will be useless, but the battery will still be at 80%. MATHS.”

    Fucking. What.

  • Which sounds like mount selection based on if onland==True: landmountlist, else: airmountlist. ??? Can you really patent “I used an if statement to change what the mount button does based on a condition”

Boy, better fucking patent that fucking pure genius there’s no way anyone could program that without having copied us.

Like I fucking hope I misread that.

  • Owning a Car Is Less Important To Younger Generations.
  • The “I live in a transit friendly city.” Is uh, pretty rare in America.

It’s also time investment issue for people who work. I drive to work in the morning, it saves me 1.5hrs compared to taking the bus under normal operations (it would only actually be like an hour and 10m extra most days because I work at a school and they have a direct bus for that but I’m ignoring that since most don’t have that luxury.)

That’s just on the way to work. It’d also make me 15m late every day. That’s also assuming it stays exactly on schedule.

If that’s the same on the way home that’s 3 extra hours a day wasted.

  • Palworld is a rip off of Ark and BotW with Pokemon aesthetics. It opened early access the same year sword and shield came out. Before that Pokemon was not a big 3D open world type game. It also doesn’t include the survival/base building or FPS features in Pokemon. While palworld may be a derivative game, it is for sure different enough.

There is stuff like the palbox or the pokeball things that I could see them be dinged for though.

  • Palworld maker vows to fight Nintendo lawsuit on behalf of fans and indie developers
  • I mean, it also has very distinct gameplay from Pokemon? The newer open world games but like sword and shield released the same year pal world opened it’s early access (2019). Legends, which is the closest, was 3 years later.

Also, definitely adds FPS gameplay, survival gameplay with base building, and etc.

While it’s still not a great game, it’s definitely A: still early access and B: not just a Pokemon game.

Definitely took more than BotW and Ark than it did from anything else.
