  • That also misses the point. If we want to pull the world out of poverty and into prosperity we're going to need an astonishing amount of power. The only key is to make power that is sustainable so that things requiring a lot of power aren't given a second thought. The thing you're mad at are massive corporations putting the cart waaaaaay before the horse. And yes, please be mad at them for that.

  • It hits for me when I'm typing it out and I can already read the braindead response they're going to type and I don't want to spend another 2 paragraphs preempting the obvious response and I definitely don't want to wait a few hours/days to explain why they're still wrong.

  • This is just absurdism using the fact that there's a new pope as the basis of the meme.

It could just as easily be him saying God says it's ok to throw car batteries into the ocean.

  • I've said it before but it's ridiculous the complete conspiracy brain of tankies to believe that the whole world is being systematically lied to about these states in particular by every world government and news source but somehow the free, public forums where they get their information are the only right ones.

  • On the other side, if it's "deskilling" to do vibe coding instead of real coding isn't this person saying that the barrier to entry for coding has been lowered?

Either vibe coding is not effective and is therefore not taking away the skill of coding or it is effective enough to replace aspects of coding that you would otherwise need to develop the skill to do.

Like if I'm an engineer or a real estate agent or a business...dude, and I want to use coding in my field but I don't have the time or desire to start learning a whole skill (anywhere from having children to just learning too many skills already) I assume vibe coding is my best friend.

Id say it works right until after you beat skeletron or maybe when you first go to hell, but if you want to get far at all it turns into a "wiki game" where everyone has to have the terraria wiki open in another window to learn where they have to farm to get the next good armor.
