  • Ok, thanks, I will. Not really sure how that helps the conversation regarding pistol choices though.

  • I never thought of packing my own shells. Ok, I may have to go down that rabbit hole now...

  • Awww, thank you for reading it though! I didn't find it cringe at all.

  • guess Dems shoulda worked harder, actually listened to the American people, & picked better candidates if they wanted to beat Trump.

-People Who Happily Voted for the Convicted Felon So They Could Watch Lemmy Dems Get Upset! :)

  • How ironic that you have been banned from here though.

  • “Joe Rogan says something SO stupid that the people hearing it don’t even know how to respond” would be a more accurate title.

That would be a fun title too!

  • Wow, I just read all of the stuff in those links. This stood out: @bdonvr, admin of The Lemmy Club has, in my opinion, responded in good faith to the concerns raised in this post, and so I have withdrawn my proposal for defederation. In summary: They will no longer be allowing conservative/right wing communities on their instance

So much for Lemmy being all about diversity. lol

I wouldn't be surprised at all if this eventually happens to my communities, but so far the admin has been amazing and truly believes in diversity. But I'm sure that people will keep hammering on him.

  • well said! Just the fact that a lot of Lemmy says that "Reddit is too Right-Leaning" for them, tells you just how bad it is here. Reddit of all places, being too right leaning?! Give me a break! lololol Reddit is want of the biggest anti-conservative places out there. lol

Even my girlfriend, who hates Trump and conservatives, gets sick of all the anti-trump and anti-conservative stuff on reddit. lol

  • They legit stole his community from him. And then laughed about it. So much for Lemmy celebrating diversity.

But I'm happy to see that there are some more conservatives coming to Lemmy. !Conservative2@lemmy.today is a new comm started by a more moderate conservative.

He doesn't like me and was so annoyed by my community that he started his own. I don't mind it though and I think the more conservative voices the better.

I did warn him to be careful of takeovers and that he'll have to be sure to mod every single day or he can lose it. He wasn't super friendly to my advice though. But hopefully he sticks around.

He's about to find out just how hateful the alt-left of Lemmy can be though.

  • I've posted to your community in good faith. Let me know if you would prefer me not to post there, and I can delete.

  • Awesome. I subscribed! You're in for an adventure. I'm not your enemy, as you'll find out.

Also, thank goodness I am not the only conservative community on here! So many people post that lemmy.today should be de-fed'd all because they don't like me.

So just some advice, tho you aren't asking. There may be people who try to post "nazi" posts, just to give your comm a bad name and make it look like you are a nazi. You have to check your community every single day, so if that happens, you can delete it ASAP.

The person that was doing it to me finally got banned from his instance, so hopefully there are no others or he doesn't have alts.

Also, you have a thick skin. There may be people that are saying you are an alt of me. Good luck and thank you for starting your own community! This is what makes Lemmy better!

  • Their size and age are also irrelevant.

Irrelevant to you. I like them and I will never ever stop posting from them.

Fun fact though: everytime I see someone advocating violence against Trump or CEO's (you sicko Luigi fans) here on Lemmy, I forward it to them, and the FBI. So it'll be fun seeing if they write an article about how pro-violence and pro-murder Lemmy is. The FBI actually called me after I gave them a tip, and then I let the Daily Mail know that the FBI is watching Lemmy for alt-left extremism.

I've had a few back-and-forths with the Daily Mail about it and I told the reporter how to actually navigate Lemmy, so we'll see what happens.

Just doing my part in making sure they have accurate information. Maybe we'll be able to see how much "disinformation" gets written about the goings-ons at Lemmy. Lemmy is so small and irrelevant, I doubt if any articles will come from it, but at least I did my part.

Wouldn't it be cool tho if they did an undercover thing on Lemmy? :)

  • That doesn’t mean it’s a credible source of history.

And just because you don't like it, doesn't mean they get everything wrong. They are one of the largest publications in the world, and they're not going away anytime soon.

I read it every day and I like it. All of it. I've forwarded tips to them for stories they can write. I've even been interviewed by them and have shown up in articles there. I have a great relationship with them.

My community. My sources. If you don't like, feel free to start your own community and post from your fav sources. :)

  • I'm amazed how many Lemmys think there was no fraud in the 2020 election, but are convinced of it in the 2024 election. Hmmmm...

But I think transparancy is a good thing as well. I want all of it to come out. From both parties.

  • You seem to think I blindly follow people who are in charge. I don't. I don’t have a problem with RFK Jr. (and I love seeing how upset you all get over him), but I recognize that the so-called “explosion” in autism diagnoses is mostly due to changes in diagnostic criteria. The definition has broadened, so more people fit under the umbrella now than in decades past.

I'm glad it's finally being made public.

Add to that this strange trend, especially here on Lemmy and Reddit, where people treat being autistic like some kind of identity badge. It leads to a lot of self-diagnosis that’s based more on social awkwardness or feeling different than on any real clinical criteria. Every time someone admits they can’t handle small talk or don’t know how to approach women, suddenly it’s, “See? I’m autistic! That explains it!”

No. Some of you are just weird, awkward, or socially inexperienced. That’s not the same thing. Throwing the label around casually cheapens what real autistic people live with every day. I'm not autistic myself, but I'm very familiar (in clinical settings) with people who have the condition.

The fact that the main thing you pulled from this article is that you are happy to see it paint RFK Jr. in a way that you like, is pretty telling about your motives for commenting.

tl;dr: Assholes on Lemmy and Reddit blaming their weirdness on autism, undermines the seriousness of actual autism.
