And even if that plan goes into fruition, you might make the US even worse and in turn, the US could start fucking up the world even more.

Just flash CalyxOS, it wouldn't matter which version (e/os or standard Fairphone) you get, so just get the cheaper version (usually the non-Murena version is cheaper)

Unless you are willing to buy a Pixel in order to use GrapheneOS (now with the Pixel device-specific code being closed sourced, probably don't do that), I think Fairphone is still the best option if the carriers in your country support it. I mean, its the only one I know of besides Pixel that supports re-lockable bootloaders while running an alternate OS, very important for security.
