  • You might have to wait if what you have is a non life threatening condition as people who have a life-threatening condition will take priority over you no matter who you are. It is the trade-off for a more cost effective system. But after you've received your treatment you leave the hospital without even seeing a bill except maybe for a parking fee.

Meanwhile in the US, unless you are wealthy enough to afford to pay for your own healthcare or at least a premium health insurance you are left to wait with life threatening conditions and might even be left to die by your insurance company who will purposefully delay until your death to maximize their profits. And then they'll still send you an eye-watering bill on top of having charged you a premium that is twice what Canadians pay in their taxes for their healthcare.

  • Every time I watch a clip of Fox News talking about Canada, it feels like watching the equivalent of what North Korea propaganda probably says about South Korea in their news. It is pure disinformation and propaganda trying to convince their audience that the outside world is different and scary and that they are in the best place in the world. They know their target audience hasn't and never will travel outside of their own state to know any better.

  • Here's a controversial one: Target shooting.

It used to be a skill you honed, going to the range to become better every time. Participate in competitions, meet people. It was a great hobby.

And then the idiots who unironically wear Punisher logos ruined it.

  • I saw a clear separation between me and the idiot part of the demographic who enjoys the show at the Pickle Rick episode.

It wasn't funny. It wasn't even a good story or episode. It was just the writers deciding to come up with the most blatantly random thing for the sole sake of randomness.

  • Jason was a constant agent of chaos and destruction.

Fatima would either do absolutely rubbish at a task or be a superhuman genius at it with no in-betweens.

    Both were extremely entertaining.

But I think Mathew was extremely underrated. He was the master of plot twists wherever he could create one.

  • Soju.

It is a little bit like vodka. It is served ice cold, tastes like mildly sweet water and comes in a beer-style bottle so people who don't know what it is drink way too much of it too fast and then get hit like a hammer. The bottles are meant to be poured into shot glasses and shared. It has 20-25% alcohol content and some drinks are sold premixed with a juice flavor like the example in the picture.

It is extremely cheap too in South Korea. You can buy a 20 pack case for less than $1/bottle there. You can get alcohol poisoning for less than $10.

  • So they really plan to keep escalating what they're doing until rebellion happens. And instead of trying to not piss off the entire population to not get a rebellion, they instead prepare to fight the population.

They're literally orchestrating a civil war and they know it.

  • Ah yes, the US is destroying itself financially so it can pay to destroy itself demographically.

I think that Trump's policie's most powerful effect on immigration will be to turn the US into such a shithole that starving people in poverty stricken third world countries will see moving there as a downgrade.

  • Unknown Worlds was already dead anyway.

The team had already lost any chance of recreating the greatness of the first game when their sound designer made unbelievably stupid comments on social media, leaving the company no choice but to fire him.

This is very sad because I loved their stuff ever since the Natural Selection Half-life mod.
