And we should have some sympathy for the Russian boys as well as the Ukrainian boys, because Russian boys, because boys didn’t ask to be on their frontline. They have to be. So there’s a lot of sons not coming back to their parents, and I think most of them don’t hate the other side. Look, I think I would just recommend do not send the flower of Ukrainian youth to die in trenches, whether he talks to Putin or not, just don’t do that. Whoever goes on the offensive will lose massive numbers of people and history will not look kindly upon them.

Tuota koitan itsellenikin muistuttaa, että olen sitä jo niin kauan pyöritellyt mielessäni, että jos jätän kokeilematta, niin saan lopun ikäni miettiä vain "mitä jos..?" Vastaavasti jos olisin sodassa, vankilassa tms. niin vakuuttelisin itselleni, että jos/kun täältä pääsen, niin pistän kyllä oman firman pystyyn ja alan tekemään X, Y ja Z.

Tuo esineiden valmistus ja myyminen kiinnostaa kyllä itseänikin. Se on se mitä tekisin jos voisin tehdä ihan mitä vaan. En tosin niinkään huonekaluja vaan mieluiten kaikenlaisia erikoisempia mittatilaus yms. custom esineitä. Rakastaisin olla mukana toteuttamassa ihmisten hulluja ideoita. Kaikenlaiset "keksinnöt" on aina ollut kiehtovia. Parhaillaan juuri muutan vanhaa puuliiteriä lämpöiseksi työverstaaksi itselleni. Siellä kun saisi päivät puuhailla ja suunnitella, niin kyllä kelpaisi. Jos olisi isommat tilat, niin veneiden kunnostus olisi myös kiinnostavaa.

Jotenkin noin se kävisikin enemmän järkeen, että merkkaan laskuun alvittoman hinnan +24% joka tekee sen 100€ mitä itse maksoin jonka asiakas sitten maksaa sellaisenaan minulle takaisin, ja jos siitä pystyn sitten vähentämään alvin myöhemmin joka tarkoittaa, että lopulta ne maksoi minulle vain 80€ ja asiakas maksoi "rautakauppahinnan" Nyt kun sitä noin koitin tehdä, niin vaikutti vain siltä, että joutuisin sitten kompensoimaan tarvikkeiden hintaa työstä saaduista rahoista. Saanko tiedustella minkä tyyppistä työtä olet yrittäjänä tehnyt? Tämä kyseinen asiakas, jolle kävin tekemässä pienen vesijohtojen muutostyön, sanoi soittaneensa 20 eri firmaan joista kukaan ei kerennyt tulla. Voisi kuvitella, että jos kysyntä on noin kovaa, niin voisin mahdollisesti pystyä työllistämään itseni ihan LVI asentajanakin, mutta mielummin toki tekisin kaikenlaista muutakin kiinteistönhuoltohommia tai rakennan vaikka roskakatoksia yms. Itse olen siitä hyvässä tilanteessa, että säästöjä on ihan hyvin ja yrittäjyyden aloitus ei joitakin yksittäisiä työkaluja lukuunottamatta suurempia hankintoja vaadi. Se on vain tuo tuntemattomaan hyppääminen tästä huolettomasta, leppoisesta palkkatyöstä.

Toi alvihomma saattaa olla vähän kuin sähköoppi, että se ei vain ole konseptina yhteensopiva aivojeni kanssa. Vakka kuinka tarkkaan yritän tuon itselleni tavata, niin se ei vain mene järkeen.

Jos asiakas haluaa uuden postilaatikon ja minä käyn sellaisen ostamassa ja asentamassa, niin minkä takia se ei mene niin, että veloitan häneltä tunnin aikaani josta luonnollisesti menee vähennykset ja siihen lisäksi sen verran mitä tuo postilaatikko maksoi, jonka asiakas maksaa minulle sellaisenaan takaisin koska minä siitä olen ostaessani verot jo maksanut? Ei mene ymmärrykseen, että minkä takia asiakas joutuu maksamaan satasen postilaatikosta 124€ ja se yhtäkkiä maksoikin minulle vain 80€. Miksen vain saa omiani takaisin - sitä en ymmärrä.

Mitä yrittäjyyteen itsessään tulee, niin eniten toivoisin sitä omaa vapautta ja mielellään vähän monipuolisempaa työtä, kuin vain sitä -tun putkiasentamista mitä olen tehnyt jo vuosikaudet. Pelkään vaan on, että jos huomaan olevani vain entistä stressaantuneempi ja käyttäväni siihen huomattavasti paljon enemmän aikaa, kuin mitä nyt työntekijänä, niin sitten menen vain ojasta allikkoon. Jos tässä saakelin oravanpyörässä on juostava, niin tahtoisin edes mahdollisimman mukavan pyörän. En minä rikastua halua, vaan tulla toimeen. Jos voisin edes jotenkuten nykyiset (suhteellisen hyvät) tuloni säilyttää, niin olisihan se kiva.

Yeah but those same people are already paying for Spotify, Netflix, Disney+ and so on. I'm not some bussines genious, so I'm obviously talking out of my ass, but I'd imagine if YouTube had switched to a affordable subscribtion model like 5 years ago, today we'd have a much better platform. I don't think it's so much the subscribtion model itself that's the issue, but the transition from a free platform to paid one.

I have been using YouTube almost since the day one. I've watched tens of thousands of hours of free content, and I've not watched a single ad. If their every user was like me, then how could they make any profit from it? Now the profit comes from the people that do watch those ads aswell as people who pay for premium. What does that make me then? A freerider.

To me it is the advertising that is the problem. Without ads, there's no need for collecting user data either. Even if it's non-targeted ads, that would still make the advertisers the customer, not the people watching those videos. This incentivizes them to optimize the platform to please the advertisers, not the users, resulting in a worse service.

I understand why many people feel like the option to have non-targeted ads instead of monthly fee seems tempting, but in my opinion this doesn't solve the root of the problem, which is the ads-based bussines model. It's what makes everything go to shit.

While I'm thankful for the team at uBlock Origin, I still wouldn't call it greedy that a company that provides a quite excellent free video streaming platform, would also like to make a little profit from it too or at the very least to cover the expenses.

I think you need 1000 subscribers to be able to monetize your videos. That's not an issue for the well known youtubers but the vast majority of them don't make a penny.

Also, you watching hours of ads makes few cents for the content creator. By donating one dollar directly they've already made more than they ever would from ads.

I went with the Galaxy XCover 6 Pro instead because it comes with a headphone jack. It also has a software switch to disable microphones, but I wouldn't put too much faith on that.

I really like the rugged and military-ish look on the one I posted. I don't generally care much for fashion per-se, but certain pieces of clothing catch my attention every now and then. Now I'm mostly wearing military surplus jackets and though great value, not anywhere as nice looking as this one.

Most videos I've seen have either been recorded by civilians or IDF. I've only seen few from Hamas' point of view.

Hamas as an organization doesn't represent the Palestine people as whole, and an individual Hamas fighter even less so.

While your typical Palestine farmer might not be too fond of all the killing and murdering done by Hamas terrorists, atleast they're killing and murdering the people they perceive to be most at fault for the situation they're living in. Nobody can say, with a straight face, that there's not atleast a kernel of truth behind that belief.

Still - indiscriminately killing innocent civilians is not the way.

Wouldn't want a solar farm anywhere I wouldn't want a giant warehouse either. You probably wouldn't put a warehouse in the middle of residential neighborhood anyways so I don't think that's an issue. Plenty of places to put those where people don't need to be inconvenienced by them.

Windmills on the other hand I think are cool as fuck. I've never actually stood right next to one but people say they're a bit noisy, so while I might not want one on my yard I sure wouldn't mind seeing them from the window.

I don't quite buy that explanation. Basically the same thing is happening elsewhere too but instead of it being done by a single individual it's done by many. The end result is just the same.
