  • Not surprising, most of them were just web wrappers, anyway. I've not used them that often, but they feel like they're basically just bloatier PWAs.

  • Both things can be important.

  • Why a metal interior?

  • Then just regulate it instead, dummy. Shit, California can regulate companies so hard that nearly every product I own has a carcinogen warning label because of them, even though I don't live there, so they sure as hell can regulate hemp products in their own state. Instead, you're turning down free tax dollars and criminalizing people for something they've been doing safely for years.

  • Ave Satanas! Ave Domine Inferne!

  • Direct and actionable threats should be met in kind. See you in the graveyard, sheriff.

  • The alternative is voting red, or voting third-party which is effectively still a red vote but just with a frowny face drawn on it.

  • This is an update video from Tom Scott, for those who don't see a thumbnail.

  • Cool stuff.

  • Upvotes and downvotes aren't a "I like/dislike this" button, they're meant to highlight comments that are contributing positively and constructively to the discussion, showcase insightful comments, or to filter out irrelevant content.

    YDI for misusing the buttons.

  • Dangerous chemicals used in detention centers primarily housing people of certain ethnic backgrounds? I feel like I've read this before.

Edit: Holy shit, this makes me furious.

“Various Plaintiffs had nosebleeds or found blood in their mouth and saliva. Others had debilitating headaches or felt dizzy and lightheaded,” the lawsuit stated. “GEO staff sprayed when people were eating, and the chemical mist would fall on their food. GEO staff sprayed at night, on or around the bunk beds and cells where people slept. And on at least one occasion, GEO staff sprayed individuals as a disciplinary measure.”

  • What's crazy is that all I really want out of a social platform is 2010's Facebook. That was perfect. I was keeping in touch with friends and staying updated with their lives. I want that back so bad.

  • Do you have a license for those litmus strips, citizen?

  • Police have always been afraid of cameras and their operators.

  • Fun fact: The synthetic blood in True Blood's lore was also made by Japanese scientists.

  • knowing that you gotta call Customer Service to get the car to stop in case of emergency is pretty bad design, safety wise.

You don't. He didn't want to push the button, himself, because he expected customer service to do something different. But there's a button on the screen right in front of him, as well as in his app, that will make the car immediately pull over and unlock the doors. You can hear the rep trying to direct him to push the button, and he refuses because he wants to be stubborn for his video.
