I’ve looked through the comms titled “greentext” and have not found this image but it’s a cute photo on its own!
Edit: took some scrolling but I found it
I deleted messenger once I finally convinced the people I give a shit about to switch over to safer platforms. Hadn’t posted on or touched FB in years at that point though. That also prompted me to move to Lemmy (my only real feed-based media consumption); that plus the constant influx of doomscrolling bullshit after the latest US election.
I don’t “use” Xitter and haven’t for many, many years aside from news for legitimate emergencies that had no other alternative. Stopped using IG after they tried to copy TikTok.
TL;DR: Enshitification + increasing threat to human rights
Thanks to climate change the snowflakes melted. /hj
To shreds, you say?
I would ask Danny Elfman.
I would also push for UBI though ¯(ツ)_/¯
An alarm set for brownies being done baking is much less upsetting than an alarm to wake up and go to a job you hate/school.
Between that and “girl dinner” snacking twice a day and/or being poor is fashionable now
It’s almost as if proper access to healthcare and allowing each person to make their own medical decisions with a qualified provider prevents all of this issue. Detransition is also none of the fucking government’s business! (ᐛ)
This is a cut so deep I can feel knitting needles and yarn materializing between my hands as I type.
You’ve got a good heart lol. I promise “puffy costume for potty time” is WAY better than “lost, cold doggie.” His mild inconvenience is more than a fair trade for him staying safe!
Allies are welcome so long as you respect the people and the vibe 😎🥳 Besides more hands = more bricks 👀
I can stop whenever I want!
Caffeine by Mattstagraham. Kinda pop-punk, tongue-in-cheek but still anti-system and openly autistic. Highly recommend!
As an EndeavourOS user I say yes. Make it like a fun custom name tag!
Far more positive and civil; people actually engage in their replies instead of the stream of recycled quips. Bad faith discussions usually get called out as such; less astroturfing.
Small-ish forums probably help with that too since users run in the same circles and there’s less overall “noise.” It’s also much more imperative to comment on posts since there may not be much engagement otherwise.
Iirc one of his wives reported him having a copy of Hitler’s speeches on his nightstand.
Found an article:
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/27/us/politics/trump-fascism.html
Mr. Trump has long expressed interest in the most notorious dictator of the past century, Adolf Hitler, whose Nazis also used that phrase. In a 1990 interview, Mr. Trump said he had a copy of Hitler’s “Mein Kampf,” although his first wife Ivana Trump and the friend who gave him the book said it was actually “My New Order,” a collection of Hitler speeches.
There’s a news article circulating that some Cincinnati citizens stopped their commute to take and burn a Nazi flag being waved around at a Nazi rally “demonstration” and effectively disbanded it while other Nazis cops were just standing by.
While the news and internet may try to push a narrative of hopelessness and inaction, there are acts of resistance being taken even if they’re not formally organized. Scraps of hope are still hope.
Thank you for sharing! I’m on Mlem (iOS client for lemmy) so I can’t quite see it properly but I’ll check it on web version when I can. Always appreciate a chance to learn :) /gen
Something something in-group laws protects but does not bind.
As long as it’s their guy doing the hurting of people it’s a good thing! /s
