Trams are awesome, I've used them quite a bit in Sheffield and Valencia and in both cases they were the best solution where an underground metro wasn't feasible.
The problem arises when a cartoonist takes on something serious. It puts those two compartments together and rips out your heart, like First Dog on the Moon did today.
First time is 8 hours, second time 2, third can be 45 mins. I wouldn't worry about changing tubeless tires though, for me that's worth paying someone 20€, lol
At this time of year it's dark, so I go the long way around which is mostly paved road, lol

Sounds easy, no? To achieve it I moved to another country, learned a new language, took a 50% pay cut, and living here requires a lot more work just to be comfortable ... but I live halfway up a mountain in the middle of a nature reserve, it was worth it for me.
Doing plugs is super easy, but not a permanent fix ... for me they've only ever lasted about 1000km (but then a permanent plug put in by a tire shop can be found).
Changing tubes is a PITA, it requires practice and the right tools. I made my own trail stand and combination tire lever / wrench set because the off-the-shelf parts are expensive. So far I've only used it at home, but it only has to be needed once in the middle of nowhere to be worth it!
It really does do that, though then having to go to work instead of keep riding brings me down to earth with a bump, lol
The more I think about it, yes it would be a lot of fun!

Sounds like a good go at adventure, though if you have a KLR there's no excuse for having someone else carry all the stuff, those things are pack mules!

The engine is definitely a Royal Enfield 650 with some extra stuff stuck to it.

My baby is a 1980 Yamaha TY175 that was pulled from a shed and I custom built it into a full competition machine so I don't think I can criticise. It cost me about 5000€ in total, and still needs a couple of things, lol
