A site for discovering video game writers

Sorry for self promo - but I don't earn any money from this endeavour.

Video games writing has been going through a rough spot of late, with many sites being shut down and writers being put out of work.

This has led to many writers penning their own blogs, some just to keep their hand in the game, others to earn a living.

As a way to provide a discovery platform for these writers I've built a website that puts all their writing in one place that allows you the reader to discover awesome writing.

Lexica-like webpage for CivitAI images

This is an automated archive made by the Lemmit Bot.

Hello!

I am the creator of webpage.

It allows you to search and browse CivitAI image database using basic and advanced queries. It is in early stage, and because of being my fun sideproject it is mostly oriented towards fun of making something useful, rather than pure clean and neat frontend. Despite it my friends found it quite useful and I decided that I would like to share it with the Stable Diffusion community.

In the early days of Stable Diffusion one of the first things that helped me the most with prompting was where I could look for things I needed and if I was lucky, then I had one or more prompts to tinker with. Nowadays Lexica started it’s own

My Lemmy client, Bean is now available on TestFlight

Hey 👋 I've been working on a new Lemmy client called Bean for the last few weeks and I've put out an early beta.

It's missing some features at the moment but I'm working to get it feature complete by early next week and would appreciate some feedback as I develop!

You can find out more over at !bean@lemmy.world but here are a few screenshots.

Let me know what you think if you do check it out.

I've just made Avelon (a native iOS app for Lemmy) available for download!

Hi there fellow Apple enthusiasts!

Yesterday I announced that my native iOS app for Lemmy called Avelon is finally ready for testing, and I figured some people here might also be interested in checking it out!

My focus for the app has been performance, design and ease of use. As you can probably tell I got a lot of inspiration from Apollo and other iOS-first apps - but I think I've added my own cool spin on both the design and functionality.

Here's a couple screenshots of the app:

If you wanna try it out I'd greatly appreciate any feedback/suggestions so I know what to focus on next! I think the core experience is pretty solid already, but the app still lacks some important features such as adding new posts.

Watch Party - A Community for Lemmy to Watch and Discuss Movies Together!

I came up with the idea for this community in the shower. What if I want to watch a movie with people from all over the world, and talk about it in a live thread? Live threads for sporting events and TV shows are pretty common, but I don't think I've seen it applied to movies before. The concepts are simple:

  1. Create an announcement post 2-12 hours before you want to host a watch party. This gives people time to find a copy of the movie, if they're interested in participating. If you have the means, you can also mention that you'll be streaming the movie on the official Discord server for those that don't have access to the movie.
  2. Create the live thread 30-60 minutes before the watch party starts. If you're going to be streaming on Discord, be sure to include the link to the server invite as well for anyone that wants to join in at the last minute.
  3. At the designated time, everyone presses play, and discusses the movie in the live thread.
