Images: Kirkwood project gets name, visuals on Memorial Drive Josh Green Mon, 10/28/2024 - 08:15 A residential Kirkwood project is coming into clearer focus that developers say will contribute to Memorial Drive’s metamorphosis as a more walkable, denser, and amenity-rich section of Atlanta.
Empire Communities, a Canada-based homebuilder with active development sites and finished projects dotted across Atlanta, is prepping to start vertical construction on what’s now called “Songbird,” the company’s third project along a few blocks of Memorial Drive on the eastside.
Empire officials say site work is finishing now on 3.6 acres that was formerly the Stanton Grove Baptist Church property at 2011 and 2015 Memorial Drive.
Vertical construction on the first of Songbird’s planned 81 townhomes is scheduled to begin with 60 days. (The project was subjected to an [arson attempt](https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/fire-atlanta-cons

What are some channels or creators that do science/engineering experiments?
Inspired by this post:
If we're reviving everything then start with Mythbusters
What are some modern channels that do similar stuff? If episodes area available, what are older shows that might work?
Some more general examples that come to mind:
- SloMoGuys - mostly seeing things in slow motion to see how it works
- How Ridiculous - For a younger audience, but it fits
- Mark Rober - Engineered stuff
Not quite related, but maybe:
Tinga Tacos
I followed this recipe https://pinchofyum.com/the-best-chicken-tinga-tacos#tasty-recipes-45558-jump-target
I subbed the peppers sauce with rehydratedred Chiles hatch peppers and some other pepper I lost the original package to. I also use the broth I soaked the peppers in for the broth. And actually cooked chicken thighs. So basically only followed the instructions.

Olive oil cake
I made this olive oil cake for my wife's birthday. Recipe from, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaG0A0r6Iq4&t=1
basic white bread
cross-posted from: https://lemmy.ca/post/5365140
I came across this recipe for basic white bread (what the recipe called it), is a nice sandwich bread. Not to crumby and firm pain in taste. But it's easy and cheap to make. I didn't take pictures but used the dough from the other loaf to make cinnamon rolls, got ate too quickly.

tomato loaf
We were gifted a bunch of tomatoes so I made this tomato loaf. I used this recipe, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjEwRcTwU-g&t=1 I couldn't find sun dried tomatoes not in oil so I didn't use them, and pinenuts were crazy expensive so didn't use those either. I did add a whole clove of garlic and some Italian seasoning. Loved it, ate a whole loaf with the family once it cooled. I'm curious about adding bits of mozzarella into it next time.
Lemon Sponge Cake
Made this one for my mum’s birthday. Lemon sponge cake with lemon frosting and topped with fresh raspberries and lemon zest.

Kat Godeu
I was in a multitude of forms
before I was unfettered:
I was a slender mottled sword
made from the hand.
I was a droplet in the air,
I was the stellar radiance of the stars.
I was a word in writing,
I was a book in my prime.
I was the light of a lantern
for a year and a half.
I was a bridge standing
over sixty estuaries.
I was a path, I was an eagle,
I was a coracle on the seas.
I was effervescence in drink,
I was a raindrop in a shower.
I was a sword in the hand,
I was a shield in battle.
I was a string in a harp
under enchantment for nine years,
[and] foam in water.
I was a tinder-spark in a fire,
I was a tree in a conflagration.
I am not one who does not sing
I have sung from infancy.
I sang in the treetops
before the ruler of Britain.
I pierced the stall-fed horses
of the one(s) wealthy in fleets.
I pierced a great-scaled beast:
there were a hundred heads on him,
and a fierce battalion
beneath the root of hi
