The involvement of commercial partners became more evident, reminiscent of the public–private partnerships that the Mussolini régime was eager to encourage. The financial report of 1933 shows that sponsoring came from a number of Italian and Polish companies: the Milanese engineering company Società Anonima Puricelli Strade e Cave, insurance companies (Riunione Adriatica di Sicurtà, and Assicurazioni Generali), the shipping company Italia-Cosulich Lloyd Triestino, the Warsaw-based Handlowy Bank, the car manufacturer Polski Fiat S.A., and the Warsaw firm Dom Handlowy Meyer.
