My only friend that really sends me memes started using TikTok a year or so ago, and sends the strangest, out of context shit. Like it will just start halfway into the action and end before it’s over, and I’m just like wtf did I just watch?
- Half the shit these people send me is just someone staring weirdly at the camera or pointing up to text. There's no point in it being a video. It's just the text they want me to read. That angers me so much.
  
  I know exactly what you’re talking about. It’s really cringe, and even more cringe to realize that the general populace loves that shit
  
  Or someone overlaid their face over another video as a "reaction" but they contribute nothing of value to the original video
- Strange out of context shit is what Tiktok does best - if you let it.
  If your tiktok is all politics or dancing girls it's your own fault. Train your algorithm to be dadaist and absurd.

- Good friends use Revanced patches to download tiktoks before sending them. Might even put it through ffmpeg to remove the music if it's annoying.
  
  I had the wrong thought of ffmpeg meant. I am only now realizing I may be a bit too kinky.

I mean it just opens as a link in your browser, the "can't" is just ideological.
Granted, it looks like garbage on the browser since all the UI crap loads on top of the captions.
- "Just ideological" in the same sense I can't muder someone ideologically. Sure, I have the capability of doing it, but no sane person would.

Tell your friends to download the video and then send it. Most of the TikTok Videos you can download directly from the app.
- You can actually send tiktok videos with VX in front of the URL and it will inbed properly

I can't stand tik tok.

- FYI, you have to go into settings and go to Apps and then turn on all the default URLs for TikTok. Works perfectly after that.
