Because articles and blogposts can be handwaved, hard history can't-- and hard history says an uncomfortable amount of Nazis held power in NATO in ways that can't be undone today. These people really want me to believe NATO's current angle wasn't inspired by some literal monster who should've been executed by 1950 holding the reigns of the 'defensive alliance' they never were?
