I remember when the game came out and people were hyped they could fight the pope and assumed it would be controversial. I guess they didn't know Rodrigo Borgia was a real guy and they picked probably the only Pope the Vatican would not only approve of but endorse his severe beating in a video game. I knew about him cause I read a Mario Puzo novel about him as a kid.
