The president stressed that violent protests are not protected under the law as tensions escalate during pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses nationwide.
Biden gave a speech this morning condemning the university antiwar protesters. He calls them violent and says that they are protesting illegally.
"First, I must confess that over the last few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season."
Bringing out the Clintonian classics. Love to see the concept of "order" to justify draconian actions of the state... again.
Also this:
In his remarks Thursday, Biden also criticized “those who rush in to score political points” from the protests, saying that “this isn’t a moment for politics, it’s a moment for clarity.”
WHEN IS IT TIME FOR POLITICS YOU FUCKING MONSTER? God fucking damn it. Genocide isn't political! Crushing protests isn't political! Don't force the president to do politics, it's not his job!
This is really emblematic of the Democrats full tilt to being the party of the old order after co-opting and shutting down BLM once it was no longer useful to their immediate goals.
I wonder what can give once they completely criminalize dissent? These restored Bourbons are going to make people do stuff like banquet campaigns just to talk about soc dem stuff.
Motherfuckas love orderly decay and rot. The moment someone steps out and says "We should do something about the decay and rot, maybe make things better" they fuckin' short-circuit . The "enlightened" liberals whinge about "order" and "civility" more than they do about the conditions that create disorder and incivility. I hate liberals so much man. I really do. They don't want anything to stop anyhting, they just don't want to think about it or more importantly their positions of power that would allow them do something, anything really, about it. They are always powerless to do something other than make things worse, they always have the juice for that. They make things worse or say "glad we were here, the republicans would have done a worse job. Votes pls."
“Order prevails in Berlin!” You foolish lackeys! Your “order” is built on sand. Tomorrow the revolution will “rise up again, clashing its weapons,” and to your horror it will proclaim with trumpets blazing:
I was, I am, I shall be!
In the comments section of any post on hexbear, you can see all of the people who are jokerfied, are becoming jokerfied or are hanging on for dear life.
I know because I was once the third. I truly don’t know how long this shit can continue until the bourgeois lose control
"Look, sweetie, Biden is bad BUT Trump would be so much worse! Also, despite me conceding that Biden is, in fact, 'bad,' I never give Biden any actual criticisms and just shout 'Vote Blue No Matter Who!' and bully convicted opposers of genocide and fascism!"
Following on from change in rhetoric here (UK) at the start of the protests. 'Violent protests' are not a right and also all protests are violent, regardless of whether any actual violence occurs.
Climbing on a statue? Violence. Blocking a road? Violence. Hanging flags? Violence. Completely unspecified and in evidenced claims that someone, somewhere was made to feel 'unsafe'? Violence.
