  It seems that a year ago they managed to shoot down one kinzhal missile. From my understanding, they shot it down in its "final approach"/maneuver to target stage, which happens at subsonic speed.

  The actual hypersonic missiles can maneuver at hypersonic speeds, and Russia hasn't used those in Ukraine yet.
how incompetent do you have to be to have unlimited resources and easy access to brightests minds in the planet and still got beat by a tiny, blocked and previously wrecked country

- Because the yanks and the koreans are doing two different things. The koreans are developing new missiles to defend their nation. The yanks are developing ways to get more yachts for defence contractor CEO's, preferably also a way to kill brown people with rusty AK's.
