They've fucked up everything else, so why not?
This is the Gunniverse which, so far, has been really good.

It's my understanding that they've retroactively placed Blue Beetle in it too.
So far the universe is nonexistent. So it’s not true to say it’s been really good. But to your point, they certainly haven’t “fucked everything up”, since they haven’t released anything yet.
But yes, The Suicide Squad was great, and I’m excited to see what the same director will do.
Blue Beetle is the first DCU character, but I don’t believe the movie is canon since it’s not the first DCU movie.
