Mar 16, 2024 - Warmest Regards
The Moon Soaps base isn't bad, but it took a little patience to dial it in. Warmest Regards is a nice scent, but it's reminiscent of something else...maybe Barrbarr. Nordost paired well with it.
Rating: 4/5
I can generally find a way to lather and shave with most soap bases, but I admit that I'm becoming a bit of a snob. There are so many excellent soap bases available, it's hard not to stick to the ones I know.
Are you shooting for 31 shaves on that blade?
That's the plan. I think it will be doable, but we'll see how it goes.

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
This was another test shave of the seafoam green Gen 2 Fili 14. Today's shave occurred a full 24 hours after the last one, whereas the last test shave was closer to 19 hours from its predecessor. I thought this would be a better test for comparison with my own Fili 14. But I got the same result as yesterday. This one is just excellent. I'll probably shave with my own Fili tomorrow to see if I can tell any difference.
Great shave today! As close as I get with a 2-pass shave, and very comfortable.

Excellent shave. The days are getting longer, and I'm getting into the mood for summery scents.
I don't know what I did differently with the TI, but I get a buttery smooth shave that I just don't get with the Parker.
Have a good evening!

Cheated on MMARCH24 today. I'll go back to it and get at least 16 shaves with it this month (for two raffle entries). There's no way for me to get 31 shaves because I can't use it when I'm on a work trip. Oh well.
Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night
So, the 🦣 absolutely crushed the 🐮 yesterday, there are no two ways about it. Surprising? No. Unfair? Also no. Just happens to be the perfect metaphor for the first round of this March Madness: The big animal mauls the small animal. The law of the jungle.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
When and if you fight the odds long enough, you lose and if you're winning, you just haven't lost yet. There is nothing that encapsulates this inevitably and finality better than the concept of entropy. But there should have been someone defying the odds, at least temporarily, no? I'm hoping for some upsets in the next round, where the competitors will be generally more closely matched.
This soap's name isn't just fitting the outcome of this first bracket brilliantly, it's also a wonderful scent. It's in the ballpark of Cerberus, but with the sweetness turned to eleven. (And a dose of cough syrup which I can't unsmell since u/VisceralWatch pointed it out).
As a great fan of cough syrup (and root beer, that's just the same) I should maybe give it a try 😁
Definitely. I unreservedly recommend it. Just a wonderful scent. You just need to like sweet
Excellent write-up. We’ve got Dylan Thomas, the law of the jungle and, of course, entropy. Perfect, IMO!
Thanks! 😊
