How would human relationships with various animal species change if they're indifferent to petting?

I'm not sure what I would do if my cat stopped liking getting pets and snuggles. :(

Most small animal don't like cuddled.

To them, cuddled is being grab, hold, (and eaten).

Sometime, they freeze in fear, submissive, because you are their owner, you dominate over them. They let you cuddled because they think you are stronger, not because they like it.
