Actual direct conspiracy is usually not necessary to achieve the outcomes of most nefarious things people worry about. Two rich people which both want to protect their own wealth can look at each other and their respective actions and then take next steps working to protect their wealth without ever talking to each other and get basically the same outcomes as if they had coordinated. Shared interests and a reasonable understanding of the likely outcomes of choices can be almost as good as direct conspiracy.
I'll bite: most people don't give a fuck about the fediverse and the hassle of having to understand it all in order to navigate it is only a barrier to entry that will slowly drive away people until the platforms die a slow, painful death.
Everyone on here saying they like it this way and prefer it over the mess that is Reddit or X are completely missing the point that negative growth will only lead to a failed platform.

Almost all of us here spend too much time addicted to what technology has created, it's ruining our lives, we know it, but rather than face that fact, we spend even more time on what technology has created to voice blame on anything but ourselves.

Gaff was an injured in the leg when responding to the original break-in at the Tyrell Corporation. One replicant got fried going through an electric fence, but a mistake in the script miscounted and there is one extra unexplained replicant that is never mentioned.
It is my firm belief that that captured replicant was programmed with Gaffs memories and tasked with finishing Gaffs mission, while Gaff himself had to act as a chaperone. And he's pretty pissed off about it because everyone seems to think this replicant can "do a man's work", as he says at the end of the film.

Everyone is all uppity about climate change, but what's going to kill us first is deforestation and the overuse of agricultural practices. It takes about 100 years for soil to replenish nutrients. It takes 200-400 years for new soil to be created if left alone. We're fucked.

Amazing Digital Circus (and most other "long form" internet animations for that matter) are not good. most of them were made to just service internet fandoms, usually not funny relying on very very cheap existential or sex jokes, bad story and plot, and commercialized to death with plushies and merch and patreon and all kinds of donating links.
