Too many idiots in America are driving vehicles so big they'd need special licenses for being a commercial delivery vehicles anywhere else
And they're riding solo in those things making hour long commutes.
And most of them won't stop bitching about gas prices, like no shit Billy Bob, you get 10 mpg and drive 30 miles each way to work, of course you think gas is high.
The solution isnt gas subsidies so your costs go down, it's you buying a rationale vehicle for your needs.
I absolutely detest SUVs (I hate how they drive, and the sheer size, as well as the efficiency issues mentioned here), and will do my damndest to avoid ever buying one, but it’s starting to feel like I’m simply being relegated to buying a used car.
The average American consumer is frustratingly dumb :(
