I mean, she's a cleric by default. Insanely useful no matter what your team composition is. And flexible enough to compliment any setup you want. What are you going to do, NOT use Guidance in your run!?

She's also got a core storyline in a fundamental area of the map.
I re-specced her as a life domain cleric and spammed heals, wouldn't have stood a chance without it
- Light and War are really strong. By either reducing enemy chance to hit, to not take damage in the first place, or ensuring your team gets those hits in, reducing enemy count and the amount of damage you can take.
I mean, there's a necklace for guidance. Clerics are pretty useful though.
Also, of the three ladies (you will typically find in your first playthrough, sorry Minthara) she is the last you can romance, so if your are a completionist you will end with her (I regret not making a save)

I just got to the sex scene with Shadowheart. Her white hair turned back to black for the cutscene lol

Considering how long this game is. Those are seriously impressive numbers. Congratulations Larian on the success of probably my favorite game of all time.

If you haven't already, give divinity original sin 2 a try. BG3 was built on the back of a game just as complex and satisfying, with a ton of the same exact mechanics, that went under appreciated because Larian wasn't a big studio with a well known ip.
You can catch it on sale pretty regularly for like $5. I bought it on release back in the day and I still play through that game like once a year.
- I've actually put several hundred hours into div OS 2. Its one of my fav games and the reason I was so excited about BG3. Larian is truly the GOAT.
- I have DOS2 on my wishlist, I guess I just need to buy it.

Idk about most popular, just the one that occurs most naturally. I tried to get with Karlach and it never happened. I never tried to get with Shadowheart, but it still happened.

Edit: I wonder if this means Shadowheart has the most sexual partners of anyone anywhere, across all games and platforms.

I've literally only talked to Shadowheart when the game forces me to (wanted to romance her on a different playthrough), and if I ask her about our relationship after the goblin stronghold she literally goes on and on about how I'm her closest confident and that she's a completely different woman now. All the other NPCs also offered to fuck during the celebration, despite me being confrontational with some of them.
This is after all the patches to romance stats, too.
Wish they didn't throw themselves at the player's feet so hard, to be honest.

- I didn't get to talk to anyone at the party after defeating the goblin leaders. I think it's because I went to a long rest before talking to Halsten back at the grove. Everyone was there, but initiating conversations did nothing.
There was a bug where Karlachs romance never materialized in Act 2 if you didn't do things in a specific order.
- Is that fixed? I'm on my second playthrough and about to move to act 2.
- Does it still fail if you don't wait a long time in act 2?
Does it? I did like the first main bit of the story and Lizzy was already to bounce on it.
Everyone else seems to take a lot longer to get cooking.
- True, Lae'zel was pretty horny. I didn't have her in my first playthrough, so I didn't realize how forward she is until this current playthrough. I laughed that one of the responses to her initial advance is "just one word, ew!". Haha!

I don't use Steam, GOG, or Larian launchers to play the game. I also play off-line. I wonder how many people have completed the game but weren't counted.

She's the only human woman, so it makes sense that she'd be the most popular.

Well, half-elf. But yeah, pointy ears are a bit more appealing than green skin and short noses or red skin and horns, I guess. People are boring.
- First play through I went SH and felt very empathetic for Karlach's storyline. Second playthrough I went Karlach and found it kinda cringe.

this is by far the best game i have played in many years!

My first playthrough I slept with the Emperor and then Wyll, and ended up with Wyll. I killed Karlach for Wyll.

Second one I was with Lae'zel but was a durge. I wanted to be with Karlach since I didn't have her on my first playthrough but then I killed Isobel. That dooms Karlach.

So this time I'm aiming for Karlach. She's so fun!

I don't understand the appeal. Gamers rage about how RNG ruins games, and the biggest game of the year is totally based in RNG.

Then there's the hornyness. Even the trailers made this game seem like it's just about who you can bang.

Have you considered that the people raging about a thing and the people enjoying the same thing might be different people?
- No. Every member of a group is part of one giant hivemind. Individuality is a myth.
Bad rng ruins games. When it's done correctly, it's fun. You have to seperate what's fun from what's not. It's fun to hit a 20 and instantly delete something form existence. It is not fun to "do everything right" and still be punished for it.
Most of the time I've raged about RNG is from WoW, not other games. In WoW, I'm not raging about misses or crits. I'm mad because I've done the fight as well as I can and succeeded, only to have the same damn leather boots drop every damn time that neither I nor anyone else needs. Or having to kill bugs to get a specific quest item that could drop on your first try or your thousandth.
RNG in this game can also be infuriating, but in a different way. It's not game breaking, just fight delaying. Or I might not be able to deceive the guard to let me in, so I just have to fight my way in.
