Some good tips to preserve a bit of privacy for those who use the Strava platform.
Several suggestions in the article also apply to other fitness tracking platforms.
Don't use it in the first place, no need to share your cycling information.
Rather unfortunately, many clubs and events use these apps to coordinate routes. One ride event I did used RidewithGPS, and I never use it normally.
Alternatively, if you can export the GPX file, you can import it to your privacy-first app, like OSMand.
I switched to Osmand when my bike computer got stolen and tbf I prefer Osmand, especially with the widgets and stuff set up for the cycling profile
Which OpenTracks? Google PlayStore has two.
Or Fitotrack, which has an even nicer dashboard (with horrible colors, unfortunately) to screenshot and send to friends to brag (not that I'd ever do that __)
