  Nothing anyone says matters anymore. We're in a fascist dictatorship and the public doesn't care. If they decided to start burning women for witchcraft in town squares again (I'm betting next month at the latest) the general population will be like "Can they do that?" "Isn't that illegal?"

- Women are too valuable to be warehoused. The young and pretty ones can be trafficked as "Comfort Girls," and the rest are useful as house slaves, cooking, cleaning, tending to the DNA Storage Units/ Organ Donors/ Human Shields, etc.

  Men are considered inately useless & expendible. So their deaths not only do not matter to society, but it's also justified

  The point is men tend to start revolutions when given hard times, so it's best to march them into a meat grinder before they get the chance.
  That's one reason Russia is OK with their losses, those are mostly minorities from less loyal districts, not True Russians (ie Moscovites).
