sand it, seal it, spoon it.
Any suggestions on what to seal it with? I have heard of food-safe wax, but I'm not sure if that's mainly for butcher blocks, or would be appropriate for a spoon.
Beeswax mixed with a bit of mineral oil (aka "spoon butter") works great - just rub it on, let it sit for a few hours, then buff of the exess.
