By "grow" you mean shrink? I mean literally. People are being deported, Federal employees getting fired, less disposable income as a result of inflation (unexpectedly high in Jan), fewer imports, less action from Congress, less worldwide respect for the country, less consumer spending (in January), fewer consumer and worker protections.
The only thing that's been growing is the wealth of the 1%.
I don’t know why everyone thinks America is in such deep trouble. Our medium family income, still way higher than rest of world. The number of people who starve to death in America is rock-bottom compared to basically everywhere in Asia and Africa. And since the 1970s crime has been on a steady downward trajectory.
Our country was doing just fine people just think that it was going to the shitter so that they could sell your snake oil

It is attempting to dismantle all the things that kept the country just fine, as a country you've missed every opportunity to stop it, now may be the last chance to slow it or mitigate it. I'm not sure why you are getting downvoted. The general outline you point out about the trajectory of things (crime in particular) is very true. One thing that runs counter is quality of life and income inequality have not been on good paths.
Of course, we shouldn't be comparing ourselves to the worst examples we can find, but the best and striving for that. As others have pointed out, there are examples in Europe.
