Was there even a mass exodus? I largely avoid Reddit now, but I do kind of doubt that they've been hurt in any meaningful way by all the protests and people leaving...

Some of the larger subreddits shut down or turned into a John Oliver meme, one niche one I enjoyed is gone, the rest seem to be back to business as usual. At the moment? I'd say not much has changed.
Who cares, though? This isn't reddit, let's stop focusing on that and focus on Lemmy.
My most visited subreddits are dead because the mods basically went fuck off to the sunset. The rest has shown visible decline in the quality of the posts and discussion.
The only kind of subreddit that I didn't see a downturn in the quality is the parenting subreddits. However there's also been an uptick of negative kind of posting there too.
