Bulletins and News Discussion from January 6th to January 12th, 2025 - The Fall of Trudeau - COTW: Canada

The Liberals, headed by Trudeau, have not been doing so hot lately. Polls have been rather poor, showing the party far behind the Conservatives, and the Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland (an outspoken apologist for Ukrainian Nazis) resigned recently, with more MPs following her lead. Trump's return to power has shaken the Canadian establishment due to his threats to impose massive tariffs on Mexico and Canada, which will have substantial economic consequences given that Canada sends most of its exports to the US, compounding the economic malaise that has affected most of the world over the last few years.

With all this bad news, there are rumors and reports that Trudeau will soon resign, ending his nine years of rule. His fall would be yet another casualty in the wave of incumbent parties falling across the imperial core, only to be replaced by more conservative parties that have very similar policies but wish to cast all blame and hardship onto minorities.

  • The opposition takes to the streets in an empty march in Caracas on the eve of Maduro's inauguration.

María Corina said that this Friday will be the 'final sentence of the regime'; her alleged arrest has been denied by the government. The opposition has tried to create a climate to interfere with Nicolás Maduro's inauguration. Videos on social networks, calls for marches and an international tour of countries governed by the right were the main tricks used by the extreme right that questions the result of the July 28 elections. But what was seen on Thursday (9) was a demonstration that brought together around 3,000 people in eastern Caracas.

Ultra-liberal María Corina Machado called on opponents to hold what she called a “march for freedom” on the eve of the presidential inauguration. The group claims that the former Unity Platform candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, will be sworn in on Friday (10) in a move that has not been detailed by the opposition.

    • bruh i honestly thought maybe maduro's party cooked the books a little bit (i dont care if they did or not, in fact if you're going to cling to the stupid form of liberal democracy i support rigging the election every time), but holy hell if they could only get 3000 people protest there's no way they won the election lol

      • Most of Anti-Maduro voters have left Venezuela a long time ago, this is why they are so dependent on Colombian, American and Ukrainian mercenaries.

        • It's funny. A lot of them are now in America, and now these MAGA-type regime changers can't bare to even see their gusanos' faces

No wonder they wanted Maduro desperately gone so that they can deport them back, like Europeans and Turks did with Syrian refugees
