Would you rather go to heaven for Graham's number of years followed by an infinity in hell, or just not have an afterlife?

Assume you never get tired of the pleasure in heaven, and you never get used to the torture in hell.

Lmao this is such a stupid scenario, but I love putting incomprehensibly large numbers in absurd contexts like this. Like yeah, no brainer that infinity is vastly incomprehsibly largererer than Graham's number, of course nothing is worth going to hell that long for.

But uh, Graham's numbers is a lot of years. For all intents and purposes it's just never coming compared to the characteristic time scale of human thought.

  • However large Graham's Number is, infinity is, by definition, infinitely larger. In such a context, there is ultimately no real difference between Graham's Number of years and 1 second. Gimme oblivion.

  • Heaven forever gave me midnight panics as a kid. Living forever doesn't actually feel that bad in the context of how much life can be spent napping or glazing over while watching a movie. So like, I'd take nothingness over hell, but that would really deprive fuckers like Raegan over the suffering they earned.

  • When asked how he wished to be buried,

he left instructions to be thrown outside the city wall

so wild animals could feast on his body.

When asked if he minded this,

he said,“Not at all, as long as you provide me

with a stick to chase the creatures away!”

When asked how he could use the stick

    since he would lack awareness,

he replied “If I lack awareness,

then why should I care what happens to me when I am dead?”
