Marx would be committing welfare fraud so he could spend his time writing theory at 4 AM and strudently interrupting the local DSA meeting to call everyone except those in his subgroup a modern term for idealists that he just made up.
And between that playing Morrowind
In the Philosophie de la misère all the defects of Proudhon’s method of presentation stand out very unfavourably in comparison with Qu’est-ce que la propriété? The style is often what the French call ampoule. High-sounding speculative jargon, purporting to be German-philosophical, appears regularly on the scene when his Gallic astuteness fails him. A noisy, self-glorifying, boastful tone and especially the twaddle about “science” and sham display of it, which are always so unedifying, are continually jarring on one’s ears.
Marx was truly one of us
Utopians maybe? Nah too easy to decipher, uhhh oneirods? From Oneiros, the greek god of dreams?
It would be some esoteric Debord reference
Im firmly in the camp that Marx would have like 90 followers on TikTok and talk shit about politics while sipping warm vodka.
he would be trying to debate people in the live chat of an girly npc stream and then get banned and make a 4 part rant about it
Marx would religiously maintain a realistic economy mod for Stardew Valley that everyone fucking hates because the realism makes it almost impossible to do anything
Is there a realism mod for Stardew?
I think it's offensive to imply Marx would like fantasy instead of Fallout New Vegas. Plus, he would spend ages just tinkering with Europa Universalis.
marx would deffo be a hoi 4 kinda guy
doing playthrough after playthrough in different majors to do the communist route
Skyrim had the worst story of any of the Elder Scrolls
Oblivion and Skyrim aren't games you play for the story silly, they're engines to build your own video game via modding.
You play it for the vibes
Terry Pratchett was involved with a mod for oblivion apparently. It's a really cute story
I don't know, I don't think Oblivion's is much better.
Oblivion's story is terrible
Everyone just remembers it fondly because of nostalgia now
But it's so bad
Finding Patrick Stewart's bastard son Sean Bean so he can do all the actual work of defeating Mehrunes Dagon
I remember literally putting the controller down and saying "Wow, that was awful"
Even the lauded Dark Brotherhood plot is bad because it's so heavily telegraphed that you can see it coming and yet, you are powerless to stop it despite the game pretending like your choices matter
Idk if I can say I like the story, but I like the ending
I thought it was a good game.
I never finished the main story though, and I got it on release in 2011.
If Marx was alive today he would finish capital 2 and 3 and write part 4 on the history of economics like he always planned to do. Then, if he had a third lifetime, he would start on the rest of the many projects outlined in his "Grundrisse". He would finish them in his fourth lifetime and then in his fifth lifetime start to condense everything down into something more readable and put it into modern context. He would finish the project on economic theory in his sixth lifetime.
Marx is a cat confirmed
The 7th lifetime would result in a culmination of his life’s works, a sort of manifesto for communists
he would be a volcel radlib obviously wtf
The point of communism is not to observe the world but to change it.
Leftcoms sit around, observe, moan and do little else. I struggle to imagine Marx as one.
Engels would watch him play Morrowind and then write erotic fanfiction about it on AOOO.
But would Marx be on the Tamriel Rebuilt mod-team writing quests that go into wayyyyyyyyy too in depth about the material conditions of a kwama egg seller situated in Tel Branora and how their profit is sky rocketing by using Telvanni slaves and selling to the mainland?
both have terrible foreign policy, but at least maoism has both relevance and material benefits its brought to people.
