Japan sorry not sorry for enslaving Koreans:
It thanked them for their contributions at the mines but did not acknowledge their forced labor or issue an apology.
- Notice how the Japanese media frames the whole thing as the "wartime labor issue" to further try to distance themselves from their atrocities
- reparations follow acknowlegement
