I’m a 30 year old woman who’s only really played card and puzzle games on my phone. Im considering new hobbies. Is it worth trying to get into video games for the first time. Where would I even start.
Heck yeah, my wife didn't play video games before she met me. Now she's obsessed with Assassins Creed, and Stardew Valley. Like others have said, there's something for everyone out there. You just gotta try stuff and see what you like.
Stardew Valley is a good recommendation for starting out in video games, although you should look over some reviews etc to see if you think you might like it.
Overall though, you should find out about what exists in the world of video games, to get an idea of what genres exist, to start figuring out what you might enjoy. Keep in mind that there are lots of demos and free versions of many games, so that you don't have to spend money to start playing some games and seeing what you enjoy. Start with popular games, since they are popular for a reason...you don't want to start playing a few random low-quality games and end up deciding you don't like video games based on some bad games.
