If bet if you gave government incentives for ebikes and not just the cars it would erode the older NIMBY crowd a bit. Plus, it just makes sense to do.

Yes, I'm in full support of e-bike incentives. In fact, I'm willing to bet that if each family was given a free e-bike, the province and municipalities would end up saving money in the long run.

There's a $5k federal rebate on personal EVs too and provincial rebates too in many provinces. You can buy an electric cargo bike for that price.
