I managed to get mine for launch day, although the Apple Store didn’t come online at 13:00 UK as advertised; there was probably 4 - 5 mins delay.
I had configured my pre-order beforehand.

The store took about 20 minutes to come online for me. But I ordered a 128GB, Natural Titanium 15 Pro that will be available for me to pick up on launch day. Excited to replace my 12 Mini.

It’s been my experience that if you don’t get in on the first minute of opening sales then yeah you’re gonna have to wait about a month, though it doesn’t always go that long, even if they estimate it to.
Mine is preparing to ship. Shrug. Can be model dependant too
i ordered just a few minutes ago. just picked the color that would come next week. no biggie
