It is insulting to suggest that this is why people won't vote for Butcher Biden. Then liberals wonder why Arab and Muslim Americans are disgusted not just by Biden but also by the Democratic base that enables the dehumanization of Palestinians.
To suggest that our opposition is merely over "stutter" or "dementia" implies that you don't see Palestinians as people or that their genocide as a valid concern.
“As president, I would end once and for all the mass importation of antisemitism into the United States,” he said. “Just as I did before, we will keep radical Islamic terrorists the hell out of our country. We were keeping them out.”
“On day one, we’ll restore our travel ban. We had a travel ban because we didn’t want people coming into our country who really loved the idea of blowing our country up,” he said. He called the ban an “amazing success.”
“We didn’t have one incident in four years, because we kept bad people out of our country,” he claimed.
“I’ll also be implementing strong ideological screenings for all immigrants coming in,” he said. “If you hate America, if you want to abolish Israel, if you sympathize with jihadists, then we don’t want you in our country and you’re not going to be getting into our country.”
Trump also said he would cancel student visas of Hamas sympathizers.
“The college campuses are being taken over, and all of the resident aliens who joined in the pro-jihadist protests this month, nobody’s seen anything like it,” he said. “Come 2025, we will find you, and we will deport you.”
Can you explain what you mean by your first statement? It seems like you're arguing that citizens won't be affected, then you linked a post by an Arab American citizen who is saying how general sentiment towards Arab Americans has affected their life. It stands to reason that electing trump will only further deteriorate the general sentiment towards Arab Americans, affecting us citizens.
Exactly. The presidential election isn't where problems like that will be solved. You're looking at the wrong venue to air your legitimate grievances, at the risk of personal harm to yourself and people like you. You should absolutely try to address that, but it will not be easy and it won't start at the presidency.
Are you not familiar with the United States since forever.
They are not. Couple weeks ago they didn't even know Israel and the US are allies, and they thought the US had a separate judicial system for religious affairs.
Are you not familiar with the United States since forever.
To be completely honest I didn't expect the US to stand by Israel despite a genocide. I didn't expect the US to enable it, certainly not under a Democratic administration. Most definitely not right after they criticized Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. I didn't expect this sheer amount of hypocrisy and dehumanization of the Palestinians by the Democratic Party. Just listen to John Kirby talk about both.
How do you feel about trump making Jerusalem the capital?
None issue. The Arab Peace Initiative from 2002 specifies East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine. Under a 2-state solution, Israel could have had West Jerusalem as a capital. To be clear, I once supported a 2-state solution now I oppose Israel entirely.
Trump will wipe Arabs off the map and complete Israeli takeover of the lands.
Biden is doing it now, why else would the US veto multiple ceasefires in the UN? The Biden administration also tried persuading Arab countries to accept the 2.5 million Gazans to help Israel achieve its ethnic cleansing goals. I personally don't expect either party to be successful in achieving this, and if the US government is stupid, it will get itself in another losing war in the Middle East. At which point with allies like Israel who needs enemies?
Ok. I guess you maybe voted Biden? Did he explicitly stand on not supporting Israel?
Why did I get a genocide?
You got a genocide?
In the short term, genocide is happening because Hamas pissed Israel off one time too many and one time too much. In the long term, the genocide is happening because of historical and deep-rooted emnity between Israel and its neighbouring Arab states. It sucks. There are extremist arseholes on both sides who profit from continued conflict and violence against 'the other'.
Regardless, America doesn't have absolute fiat in the region. Who you vote for makes little difference to what Netanyahu and Haniyeh will choose to do. But Trump is no less an ally of Israel than Biden is.
More genocide apologia and bad history. We are clearly on different teams.
I'm not sure what's the end goal of denying the genocide or giving the excuse that Israel is a geopolitical ally. Am I supposed to say "oh that makes the genocide okay, I will vote for Biden"? It is just more cruelty and dehumanization.
Yes. Believe it or not, Arab Americans exist. Some are more rooted in the US, others are one foot here and one foot there. Some are Christian and conservative, others are secular and progressive. All heart broken by Biden.
That's funny. I ask because you have expressed zero understanding of how the US government works multiple times recently. Yet you have no problem screaming the same bs everywhere you can.
Are you talking about First Past the Post and Winner Take All?
I'm still not voting for the lesser evil. I think we are overdue to seriously consider a 3rd party, instead of choosing between two flavours of genocide.
I'm talking about you not understanding how the US government and elections work, and also you acknowledging Trump is worse than Biden. Yet you keep pushing bullshit 24/7 in every post you possibly can.
I didn’t know the US had geopolitical relations with Israel.
You also have some strange notion that the US has a separate religious court system.
And why exactly do you think Trump would do better? I mean besides his most recent opportunistic flip-flop to criticizing the war for taking too long.
Lessons from Trump’s presidency:
Though Trump has sent mixed signals about his views of the war, his policies as president unambiguously favored Israel.
During his presidency, Trump moved the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and recognized Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights, in a reversal of longstanding US policy. He also slashed funding to the UN agency supporting Palestinian refugees and closed the Palestinians’ diplomatic mission in Washington.
In 2018, he withdrew the US from the Iran nuclear deal, a move cheered by Republicans and Netanyahu. The following year, the Trump administration again broke with decades of precedent to declare that the US no longer considered Israeli settlements in the West Bank a violation of international law. The Biden administration reversed this policy in February
Good thing I never voted for Trump. I voted for Biden despite everything I knew about him because some people promised to push him left. Not only Biden hasn’t undone the evils Trump did but he is competing with him on who is the bigger Zionist.
All the people who have repeated that Biden did a lot of character development and he is no longer the racist guy he was, were either themselves misled or intentionally trying to mislead. He’s the same person who was eager to kill women and children in 1982:
“Begin said he was shocked at how passionately Biden supported Israel’s invasion when Biden “said he would go even further than Israel, adding that he’d forcefully fend off anyone who sought to invade his country, even if that meant killing women or children.”
The Biden administration reversed this policy in February
Yet the settlements are expanding and the US sent more aid than ever to Israel. Until the US conditions aid on the dismantling of illegal settlements in the West Bank and the return of the Golan to Syria, it is all for show.
I compleley get not voting for him. From everything I've read, this is violating international law and we should really all be in favor of that, people of all creeds. It seems like there is limited aid to these people who are suffering also. I am not sure if this is out of the norm, since there is so much suffering in the world, but it seems like the lack of moral clarity about how it's wrong to subject civiliians to extreme suffering is something more specific to this conflict.
Remember, Hunter Biden has a daughter he pretends doesn't exist. He doesn't talk with her and she's never met other family members because Hunter demanded the mother abort since she wasn't respectable enough for the Biden name but the mother didnt abort so Hunter demands other family not meet his daughter. Joe goes along with this ostracism and has never met his own granddaughter. My point is, listening to others and ignoring moral failings for political expediency and pragmatism and not rocking the boat is part of what Joe Biden does. It's in line with how he does things. Joe Biden also probably does see what is happening as problematic but is trying to be pragmatic, but it's the wrong decision.
