It's worth getting your kids hooked on good music instead of 'age appropriate' stuff. My boys love Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys now because of the music video. I'd much rather have Intergalactic on 8 times a day than anything cocomelon.

We've been talking about emergency preparedness in the matrix chat. With all the different phones and lack of a land line, have you thought about how to teach your kids to dial 911 in an emergency?
Yesterday I tested the kids, it took my 4 yo about 5 minutes to roll me over on the floor and pull my phone out of the pocket I was laying on. Not bad.

I've been thinking about this since it came up. Mobiles would be too hard to teach my kids at this stage and it's not like we're going to pay for a landline every month just in case. I wish I could get some VOIP handset that could just sit near the modem plugged in
