      • They are so good. My subsistence food is a crock pot full of lentils, great northern beans, potatoes, and cabbage (edit: onions, too!). Mushrooms when I got em. Salt, pepper, paprika, cayenne. Some rice to soak up the last liquid in the last half-hour. And when everything is cooked through? I stir in can of coconut milk (edit: and a big spoon of minced garlic!), put half of the pot's contents into the freezer and half in the fridge, and eat for days.
