This is basically the plot of the book “Mort”
- Eh kinda
  Death was looking for an apprentice and he found one
  I would highly recommend the book, it's a really fun read. Also the rest of the books in Terry Prachett's Death series within the Discworld series.

- Closer to "Reaper Man" honestly, well with the death of flies thing anyway. At least the death of rats got to keep his job.
