    Today is Sunday.

We must all reach a common understanding, I suggest February 28, 1954. I suggest we approach a understanding desire at that level of human language and communications. And we rally at that point. We share the ideas and we help others face up to the Tower of Babel metaphor problems we all have in common across the whole world / Pale Blue Dot.

    1. "There is something wrong with our world, something fundamentally and basically wrong. I don't think we have to look too far to see that. I'm sure that most of you would agree with me in making that assertion." - Sunday, February 28, 1954
    2. "Man's scientific genius has been amazing. I think we have to look much deeper than that if we are to find the real cause of man's problems and the real cause of the world's ills today. If we are to really find it I think we will have to look in the hearts and souls of men." - Sunday, February 28, 1954
    3. "The trouble isn't so much that we don't know enough, but it's as if we aren't good enough. The trouble isn't so much that our scientific genius lags behind, but our moral genius lags behind. The great problem facing modern man is that, that the means by which we live have outdistanced the spiritual ends for which we live. So we find ourselves caught in a messed-up world. The problem is with man himself and man's soul. We haven't learned how to be just and honest and kind and true and loving. And that is the basis of our problem." - Sunday, February 28, 1954
    4. "We have adopted in the modern world a sort of a relativistic ethic ... Most people can't stand up for their convictions, because the majority of people might not be doing it. See, everybody's not doing it, so it must be wrong. And since everybody is doing it, it must be right. So a sort of numerical interpretation of what's right. But I'm here to say to you this morning that some things are right and some things are wrong. Eternally so, absolutely so. It's wrong to hate. It always has been wrong and it always will be wrong. It's wrong in America, it's wrong in Germany, it's wrong in Russia, it's wrong in China. It was wrong in 2000 B.C., and it's wrong in 1954 A.D. It always has been wrong, and it always will be wrong. It's wrong to throw our lives away in riotous living. No matter if everybody in Detroit is doing it, it's wrong. It always will be wrong, and it always has been wrong. It's wrong in every age and it's wrong in every nation. Some things are right and some things are wrong, no matter if everybody is doing the contrary. Some things in this universe are absolute." - Sunday, February 28, 1954
    • Not long after Nazi Germany in year 1951... not long before Sunday February 28, 1954... understandings were being published.

“The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the convinced Communist, but people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction (i.e., the reality of experience) and the distinction between true and false (i.e., the standards of thought) no longer exist.” ― Hannah Arendt, The Origins of Totalitarianism, 1951

“Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies, their propaganda is marked by its extreme contempt for facts as such, for in their opinion fact depends entirely on the power of man who can fabricate it.” ― Hannah Arendt, The Origins of Totalitarianism, 1951

      • “Before mass leaders seize the power to fit reality to their lies" - 1951

And that is why I am placing this topic under "Tower of Babel", and we could have an "Alternate Reality" where we focus on this common ground.

Why are we not making a Super Wikipedia of authentic facts and understandings across all the world? Why are we letting bullshit and distortion, information warfare, take over? Why are we letting hate become normal - when it never should have been normal in the first place. Why are we not learning from World War Two, what we understood on Sunday February 28, 1954 - that hate is toxic, and we keep passing toxic hate as a value down to each other. It is year 2025, we have had the time to stop passing down hate and face up to Sunday February 28, 1954 understandings.

    • Not long after February 28, 1954 - not long after Nazi Germany - in year 1955...

“Hitlerism was a mass flight to dogma, to the barbaric dogma that had not been expelled with the Romans, the dogma of the tribe, the dogma that gave every man importance only in so far as the tribe was important and he was a member of the tribe.” ― Milton Sanford Mayer, They Thought They Were Free: The Germans, 1933-45, published 1955

  • In his first term Trump wanted to send the military to cities that had big BLM protests.

That’s illegal and at the time the DoD told him to fuck off. So he wound up sending paramilitary units of CBP instead. That’s who drove around Portland in rented civilian minivans snatching American citizens off the street. US Marshals, too. https://www.npr.org/2020/07/17/892277592/federal-officers-use-unmarked-vehicles-to-grab-protesters-in-portland

Maybe they hoped we’d forget. I’ve never even seen Portland. I’ll never forget what happened though.

So if the goose-stepping shoe fits, motherfuckers, wear it.

    • Your reply message does not seem to comprehend that this is not a political reaction forum.

This Lemmy community is an "Alternate Reality Game" art project.

it isn't about reacting to Donald Trump. It is about teaching self-awareness of conflicts between people, inward journey (as defined by Sarah Lawrence college professor Joseph Campbell in his body of work).

See also: !JoyceARG@lemm.ee "James Joyce Alternate Reality Game" / ARG art project.

      Thank you.

    • I will also point out that your reply message did not discuss the posting having this content:

One man to me is not the core problem... it is the hundreds of millions of social media consumers all goose-stepping like Nazi Germany did, that's my focus and concern. I consider the population, the audience, fixated on White House persons, including Donald Trump / Elon Musk / JD Vance / etc and not seeing the forest (We the People, even those not legally able to vote because of age or such) while fixated on symbolic iconic leadership trees.

This is a population-wide problem, driven by a failure to defend against Russian information warfare on social media systems (since March 2013).

In his first term Trump wanted to send the military to cities that had big BLM protests.

Yes, he did. And people have joined Trump in his desires to dehumanize people they don't like / egoism. Kremlin information warfare since March 2013 has triggered emotional chain reactions of hate for hate, hate harder values. The United States of America 2025 nation is in:

"MASS PSYCHOSIS - How an Entire Population Becomes MENTALLY ILL"
