I used to work for a very large bank and the amount of times I couldn't open an account because of Chex systems makes me fear for the poor people in America.
This is a pure attack on unfortunate.
So, forcing people to pay bank fees on money they are owed. Putting additional barriers to access. Introducing vulnerability to online banking risks that older people aren't aware of, so they get scammed harder. Someone needs to sue claiming that making a bank account is against their religious beliefs.
Technically usury is in a few major religions.
Only rich people have rights.
Yeah, in the USA, religious beliefs are held in more importance than the right to access basic survival resources.
Also, the post office is still issuing money order checks, so it isn't like the government is getting out of the check business altogether. It is still a source of revenue for them.
