Can make it easier: I think they’re being disingenuous about the wanting it taught exactly as it happened part.
Good news: They're also ok with them being opinionated, so long as it's their opinion
The ruling class is, but this character in the comic probably just believes that the propaganda he was fed as a child is the truth, and any revision to that is politically motivated.
