The music industry is waging war upon an AI server on Discord

Db0's note: Not quite about piracy, but very very close to be relevant to us.

This is just one action in a coming conflict. It will be interesting to see how this shakes out. Does the record industry win and digital likenesses become outlawed, even taboo? Or does voice, appearance etc just become another sets of rights that musicians will have to negotiate during a record deal?

    Anyway I was in that server since the beginning. I also made a couple of models like Yeat and Charlie/Moistcritikal. I have had various beefs, banned, unbanned, and banned again, 2 Medium blogs that are basically just me ranting, getting mod in another AI server called AI World and being put on administrative leave, then banned, then unbanned, then banned because of this furry guy making money off AI that I made one joke about. If you were in the AI Discord community you probably saw my username once. The issue is that the AI Hub mod team was fucking MISRABLE! Bunch of nerds thinking they are hot shit, talking down to others, getting into all sorts of petty drama with each other and talking behind each others backs. Not to mention how trigger happy they were if you even MENTIONED "trans" because the owner was. Lots of people including me that were around for a while were voicing how annoyed they were getting. I knew that all of this monetizing and focusing on growth would eventually get UMG or someone up their ass and they did. Anyway the tech is cool but the community is dogshit so im very happy to see AI Hub burn. Since my AI Hub departure I've also gotten mod, then co owner in a AI Hub refugee server that once banned me before because I refused to share my Yeat model and then wanted me back when I left AI Hub so I joined. They kept giving and removing my co owner role even though we made a deal. I ended up nuking the whole thing with my bot and decided that im retired from the audio artist AI space.

    I've had quite the journey you could say. Anyway I love piracy, nice to be with yall in lemmy! Fuck you Kalomaze, Qo, 9Arch, and Frasier.
