I can’t wait to play it. But got to be honest, I think they’ve done a terrible job at translating Forgotten Realms “style” to the game.
What is forgotten realms style?
I think Baldur’s Gate I and II got a lot closer.
Just my personal opinion. Not claiming it to be true for everyone, hence the “I think”.
That is probably nostalgia talking. The old gates where so low fidelity that it largely relied on your imagination to fill the gaps. It literally can't be captured in 3d animation.
