Do you believe Lemmy/Mastodon can become mainstream and fully replace their centralized counterparts?

What the title says. I think there is still a long way for that to happen but i've been hopeful. What do you think?

- Didn't Mastodon completely revamp their app on the same day Musk blocked everyone from Twitter? Have you tried it out since the first?
  
  I'm on and use mastodon.social somewhat, but I don't interact at all yet. They are doing good work and it looks like they will be around for a while.
